Welcome to our first (of many) dress shopping advice posts, that are here to help you when it comes time to find the perfect dress.
For our first piece of advice, I wanted to start with a topic we a very familiar with hearing: "I love everything about this dress, I'm just not sure it goes with my venue". Every time I hear this, I internally cringe a little bit. For so long, it has been the norm to settle for a dress that you like and fits with the "style" of your venue, over the dress you absolutely LOVE. I am here today to break that standard and tell you to pick what YOU love and YOU feel good in.
Some of my favorite photos of our brides are the ones who went with what they wanted, even though it wasn't what you first imagine fits with their venue. I feel like there is something special about wearing a dress that makes you stand out from everything else, and at the end of the day, you will be surprised how many dresses look good with a variety of different venues.
So whether it's a princess styled ballgown on the beach or a sleek and sexy fitted dress in a barn, you will look STUNNING no matter what. Pick the dress you love. You won't regret it.
